Principal's Message
Dear Rivera Middle School Students, Families, and Staff,
It is with great excitement and gratitude that I introduce myself as the new principal of Rivera Middle School. I am honored to join such a vibrant school community, one with a rich history of excellence and a deep commitment to student success.
Over the past several years as a middle school principal, I have seen firsthand how a strong school culture, dedicated staff, and engaged families can transform the learning experience for students. I’ve always believed that middle school is a uniquely important time—full of growth, discovery, and opportunity—and I’m passionate about supporting students as they navigate this exciting stage of their lives. My goal is to build on the incredible foundation already in place at Rivera while bringing fresh opportunities for growth, innovation, and connection.
Rivera Middle School has much to be proud of, including its recognition as a “School to Watch” and its PBIS Platinum award. These accomplishments are a testament to the hard work of our students, staff, and families. Together, we will continue to foster a school environment where every student feels safe, valued, and inspired to reach their highest potential.
As we begin this new chapter, I encourage you to get involved—whether through classroom learning, extracurricular activities, or school events. RMS is more than a school; it’s a community, and your voice matters. My door is always open, and I look forward to listening, learning, and working alongside you to make this an extraordinary year.
Let’s make the 2025–2026 school year one filled with meaningful learning, strong connections, and memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you for welcoming me into the Rivera Middle School family—I’m truly excited to begin this journey with you.
Sincerely,
Lorin Yannarella
