Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as a former Eagle and the newly appointed Principal of Rivera Middle School for the 2014-2015 school year. Here is a little about me and my background: I possess 16 years of educational experience spanning grades 6-12 and my most recent administrative experience has been the past five years as an Assistant Principal at El Rancho High School.  Prior to being an administrator, I taught at North Park Middle School for eleven years as a science teacher. I am elated to bring my skills as an educational leader to your son/daughter’s school and to work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child’s success.

My main goal is to ensure that every student is provided the highest quality of education possible in a safe and supportive learning environment.  Working together as a team with our staff and parents, I am committed to helping each student achieve their very best.  Every student is valued and worthy of our best effort. I am very passionate about the middle school years.  This is an important and critical time of transition – moving from the elementary experience and preparing for the bigger challenge of high school.

The year will be busy, exciting, and hopefully very rewarding for each student.  We want you to join us in making this the very best experience for your children.  You are invited to attend our Back to School is Wednesday, August 27th, beginning at 5:00 PM.  We will start with a general session and followed by a time to meet and talk with your children’s teachers.  The first day of school is Wednesday, August 20, 2014, starting at 8:00 AM.  I look forward to working with all of you and being a part of the Rivera Middle School community.

Respectfully,

Dr. Yvette Ventura- Rincon

Principal, Rivera Middle School

Mr. Room 22 ran a half marathon (13.1 miles) and had stated his goal was to finish it in 2 hours or less... He completed it in 1 hour, 58 mins and 29 secs. Congratulations Mr. Diaz! Great Run! Maybe next time, you can choose an alias that isn't as common!!!
