hello Eagles I'm Scarlett scarly I'm less motivated I'm Rachel respectful and welcome back to another episode of Eagle News before we get started we'd like to let everyone know that our next episode promises to be our very special Eagle News Christmas special this episode is always 1 of the biggest episodes of the Year our Christmas special is scheduled to be released Thursday December 19th we have so many segments you won't want to miss on this episode we will be releasing the names of so many winners who will be winning tons of prizes in our Raffles additionally we are going to be releasing segments you won't want to miss well that's our next episode this episode is jam-packed with ton of segments a new entertainment corner and Sarah Alina and Amore past the time for everyone to watch getting started we now go to our entertainment Corner this week our entertainment team tests out their building skills take it away entertainment team hello and welcome back to another edition of entertainment Corner my name is Carlos ameeras I'm Joanna Reyes I'm Kendra Medina and I'm Isabella bar and today we'll be making marshmallow houses let's get started so we have small marshmallows the big marshmallow the marshmallow puff and toothpicks so let's start building a house right no you can put this 1 in the mail it's a house right yeah can you give me some toothpicks okay look at this I watched Papa oh my God my house they can be my house came pre-made 30,000 people in here on me 80,000 people in London and I'm just getting warmed up catch me with red when it's back home Cafe get my drink all of them sweet I party I hit my elbow 1 minute I need this wait what my marshmallow it fell I I got you wait I got this I don't like this God okay okay it's okay no um here's my house this is the roof it's a little lopsided but that's okay but yeah this is my here is my obviously winning house like I'm for sure winning this Shaq's House 2 by 2 2 Story 4 100 square unit um we have the shack car and then we also have Shack I got 1 okay okay so this is my house um this is the driveway um this is where you leave like I I didn't have enough time to make my car is it empty driveway so yeah so so this is where the car is supposed to come in and then like it has like all the space right and then yeah that that's that's my that's the corner of my house okay this is my house like you really have to see the vision like if you look at stop it can be a house or it could be a cop a mini however you want to see it it's a it's a really good house I love it so we all voted and we think like and we're going to sort them all in these categories so for Joanna she got most realistic because she has like a 2 Story House over there like a roof and then Carlos got the most creative with Shaq his car and Shack's house and mine has most marshmallows that's okay and then Bella's is the is the winner because because it's less to look like a house it was supposed to be an igloo but yeah somebody kept it well he goes thank you for watching another edition of entertainment Corner bye what a segment I love marshmallows they taste so good I can eat them all day all right but building stuff with them looks interesting I might have to try that when I get home you know 1 time I had a dream I was eating a giant marshmallow and when I woke up my pillow was missing I'll have to say Queen of Hearts Rachel great question I'm going to say scar hands down to scar I know Disney is making a movie to show that scar wasn't bad and Mufasa just took his spot however scarf flat-out murdered mufa and did it in front of his son I don't think it gets any more villain than that wow Rachel I never thought about it like that on top of that he made Simba believe that he was responsible finally sending starving hyenas to Chase and kill him too yeah it doesn't get worse than scar I'm glad Hercules turned him into a rug wow that's a very interesting way of seeing it never thought about it that way well moving along with this episode we now get to our next segment food Corner this week our food Corner team has a section you won't want to miss take it away food 13 fly with me let's fly let's fly away hello Eagles and welcome back to another edition of food Corner my name is Mia yamas I'm Charlene I'm Kendra Medina I'm Chloe Ramirez I'm Haley young Chavez and today we're going to be trying different mini cheesecakes first we will be trying the chocolate cheesecake 3 2 1 I don't like it this tastes really bad it's all right I don't like chocolate in general I don't like it's really Frozen um we cannot bite it it's 2,000 okay what do you guys oh wait what are you guys reading good like I read it a zero uh I give it like a 3 I give it like a 2 I'll give it a 1 I'll give it a 3 on to the next 1 next we'll be trying the plain cheesecake 3 2 1 oh my God actually this 1's way better than the shocking 1 but it's still not as good I can't wait it's not bad no it's not that bad like it's cold but like it's like I can fall into this I don't think the texture of it it's like this is my worst nightmare um I can't even bite it it's on to the next 1 next we'll be trying the plain cheese Cape ready 3 2 1 oh this 1 good I kind of like this 1's better than the chocolate 1 in my opinion I don't like I still don't like it I think I just don't like cheesecakes yeah me too I hate cheesecake no this is way better than chocolate 1 but it's not good I like the chocolate 1 the chocolate 1 tastes good this is way worse than this yeah what are you going to rate it out of 10 cuz I rate it like no I just hate it I give it like a 6 I give it like a zero I just hate cheesecake I'll give it like a 5 I give it a 5 on to the next now we're going to be trying the strawberry cheesecake 3 2 1 um I should get a like I'm actually going to um this 1 this is not that bad I just um I don't um okay yeah grew on me it's very interesting I'm getting it's cuz it's like frozen so I couldn't find it's hard to bite into but it's like I don't you just get a burst of flavor and I don't like the flavor I can't even look good like I didn't some of its hard and like yeah okay let's try the 1 through 10 yeah um I think this 1's better than the last 1 so I'm going to rate it like a 6 or 5 um I would give it like a 4 out of 10 again I just don't like cheesecake so zero get to our next segment snack and chat with this week Ariel news team has a fun interview you won't take it away snack and chat team hello Eagles and welcome back to another edition of snack and chat with Mrs baras and a more viegas today Miss paraha is several different Stacks that we're going to try while interviewing her let's get started first question is were you asked to manage the robotics team or did you choose to do it I actually chose to do Do It um we started robotics here at Rivera I want to say 6 to 8 uh 7 to 8 years ago um a couple of teachers at the district were sent to an engineering program robotics was 1 of them and then over the course of the next 2 years we brought in some other engineering classes like biomedical and flight and um 1 of the teachers Mr Armstead who is now working for the district he started the league and so our competitions are thanks to him and uh it just kind of taken off from there and I just really really love it um what are there any other fields of science you're interested like chemistry neurology my favorite is biology but I like because I like to cut things up I like to see how things work um I I liked chemistry because I like to see things blow up in um so those are really the areas that I really like so any thing that has to do I just love science it's just I mean it's fascinating to learn about all the way things work and and then to see how they change over time and it's just a lot of fun um what's luck would you like to try first I'm going to go ahead and have a a pulparindo sounds good so let's try it out isn't that nice isn't that lovely the Cheetos don't want to I can eat these all day ready wait toast hmm have you ever tried it I've tried this flavor but not this exact candy when I was younger I wasn't a really big fan of this yeah it's an acquired taste yeah we're always hearing you talk about your husband so how did you meet him my husband and I met at a dance club when we were younger a lot younger and uh we didn't really get along at first we um had the same friends um they were all um firefighter friends I've um I used to work for as an as an emergency medical technician and so I was around a lot police officers and firefighters and my oldest son's father was military so we kind of ran in the same circles and um we little by little just started getting along and eventually we fell in love did you expect would you like to drink chips hi chews let's do a drink okay would you like to try the Dr Pepper or the iced tea let's do the iced tea cuz I already had a bunch of the doctor we'll just leave it laying down yeah you very much of course good it's very good I love sweet tea but I can't stand iced tea I mean not iced tea um unsweetened unsweetened I I'm an unsweetened girl sometimes these are are too sweet so I have to kind of water them down a little bit but that's that's yummy what got you into sci-fi and zombies I belong to a big nerdy Kiki family who loves to cosplay we do we up until the pandemic we did Comic-Con all the time um we're all my oldest son is an artist he actually teaches for the film School in Hollywood my 2 other boys who are who are now in college are also artists they they all they do their own art um there are different fields my son Troy um he now creates costumes I used to create the costumes but now he does the costumes and he does the masks and he's now learning to do makeup with prosthetics and stuff like that and so hopefully he'll go into film doing you know the the makeup and and all that and my youngest loves um animation and uh video game um art and so we just you know we we we love I love the scary movies since I was younger and so we just kind of um we just kind of all meshed together what's your favorite horror movie oh mine has a Twist uh my 1 of my favorites is uh Shana the dead oh which is actually a comedy of of zombies it's kind of like Night of the Living Dead but with a funny twist um for our next snack I think we should try the high chews okay are they the same flavor yeah yeah so there you go would you be my flavor strawberry green apple or a pineapple I have a green apple me too well but mango is good too when I was younger I would chew on a lot of things and I still do so these are really help because they're nice I never knew these when I was younger but I had braces and we had Now 1 LS I broke a lot of brackets oh yeah now I'm leaders mhm I remember those candies what is your biggest student puppy tardiness and um it gets hard when you know you have students that really don't want to be there and they want to kind of derail the class and I have to you know spend a lot of time with them calming them down or redirect and you know I try to have fun with my students and sometimes some students it's hard they don't want to so yeah that's that's a difficult 1 but I always have to remember that you guys are kids before we try the Dr Pepper I think that we should go ahead and mix the sweet tea with the Dr Pepper let's try are we doing all um oh Oh I thought that was okay oh my God cheers oh my God that's sweet very okay and the trips all right have some pieces in mind you're going to mix it with hot juice you want to you want to put it in there oh that was just me oh okay you don't have to yeah I'm not going to try this 1 you went to these are my favorite hot chips I've always liked the oh my God this brass was not made for spicy oh I like to get regular chips and pour lemon fresh lemon over it oh my God that's so bad for you but it's so good yeah I love lemon now after hearing about your mud run I brought a special snacks of my own that was fun the best way to pass a birthday a snack and it's pudding with crushed Oreos and gummy worms and they're called worms and dirt worms and dirt now all right about your mud run what was it like how did you hear about it what made you want to sign up for it I really like to do um 5Ks I'm not very athletic uh so a 5k is probably the the best 1 I could do I also used to do when our boys were little because they have autism we used to do the autism walk in Pasadena every year we would have a big team with big t-shirts and stuff and so on my birthday the mud run landed on my birthday and I just figured I'm turning 55 and I figured that was 1 of the best ways to pass the time on my birthday is to go and get muddy and scrape our knees and and just you know be around a lot of a lot of women it was for a really good cause and um it was to celebrate women and um and we had a a huge huge group and it was the best time it was so much fun just falling into the pools of mud and having the firefighters you know with the hose washing buff and it was just a lot of fun and so my I had some family and some friends and we just really it was a great experience it's a it's a great experience to share with the people that that you're the closest with so it was and and I plan doing it again next year and a couple of others I've seen the Bubble Run there's 1 where the paint is thrown at you and powder paints and they just sound like a lot of fun to me so that was that was great that's nice um me and my family we go to to the Disneyland holiday 5 case mhm where we've never done that before before the park opens but you have to wake up at like 2 a.m. um and then you go and run through the park before it opens its very nice I've never been able to do that I friend that's done that and she said it's a lot of fun yeah and they have different sections so some people could walk and enjoy the view and some people could like actually run it but there are some people with like newborns that are like I like 5K is because you get a lot of different kind of people people that can move differently we have people that are actually like in wheelchairs and stuff and and they give them their their respect and and they encourage them to do these because it's quite an achievement for somebody that that has a difficult time moving around so that's why I like them they're a lot of fun okay let's try this this snack oh I already did I'll try it with this disgusting I like it my sugar my blood sugar is going to go into teacher I love that she helps you when you don't understand something I agree Rachel Miss marahas is definitely 1 of my favorite teacher the RMS ladies who's your favorite teacher here at Rivera Melissa we're not opening up that can of worms but I will say my favorite Elementary School teacher was Miss Martinez Scarlet ooh mine was Mr Gayton Melissa I'm going to say Miss Morales well moving up forward with this episode we now go to our final segment passing the time with let's see what these ladies have in store for us this week take it away hello Eagles welcome back to another edition of passing the time with Alina Amore and Sarah today we're going to be trying some weird food combinations that we got from our store let's get started first we're going to be trying Rice Krispie treats with fruit roll this 1 seems a little weird I don't know if I'm going to like this together I feel like it'll taste like 1 of those like Fruity cereal bars oh yeah oh that's true yeah the strawberry like the fruit yeah the fruity pebble oh yeah hey I don't like those of course you don't I only like certain ones like Cocoa Puffs 1 yeah I like the Coco I like I like the I like the ones that they put like cream on the back of them like milk it smells like the strawberry thingy like strawberry strawberry this is my favorite flavor I'm going to smell anything okay we're going to wrap it so sushi at chunka chunk what the heck okay this is nice and round I'm scared I haven't fully wrapped mine yet okay why are you doing that cuz it's fancy just do it how I how about now yeah you like where yeah as good it's it doesn't look very good strong solid ready 3 2 m it's not bad it's not bad but I wouldn't eat it it's nasty no wait no take back the word it's not bad but I wouldn't eat it so it's okay yeah like if I had to eat it I would but I wouldn't choose to I don't know I rate that like a a 4 a 4 a 4 okay next is what do you guys want to try next I'm sure I say the the bond and the Lucas okay okay so we're going to like the put put that in here and then dip the what right yeah sure we're going to put the pain no look yeah yeah yeah and then we're going to dip it and then look look it oh oh God there's a lot in the cup um so wait are we putting it on the Lucas lollipop right there there's some in the cat like a lot of go like this go like go like and then you go and you get it and it's can I just speak correctly can you like not judge me for myself and then you go and you get this and then you dip it in here like this oh gosh it ripped plastic like this I don't think that worked I think it just I I just I think it just didn't work because you did it um so mine broke okay 3 2 even though it was already eating oh it's like a nice after first oh oh I didn't know there was still something in here do it on the oh okay why you do that oh oh oh um I was actually really good this is good I rate it an 8 a 7 an 8 5 oh how to add that IC pause okay oh that's really good I really like that should we go into the guys okay I think we should try the next 1 we should try to drink next to like rashing it I don't know I just said get okay um let's try Dr Pepper and is Dr Pepper a Coke yeah or a Coca-Cola Dr Pepper is a Coke product really yeah or a cola it's Cola Cola Cola flavor oh that was good a Coca-Cola oh I think I poured too much I think you know it's just the fizz um can I pour some in yours oh good phone do you need more Dr Pepper yeah well let's see let's see how like empty it is put more of my put more okay here you go chase okay okay 3 2 1 that's good it tastes like it tastes like Dr cotton well for me it seems like Dr Pepper but it has the after Taste of Pepsi is it is everything okay honey it tastes like Cherry Cola there was like uh I ate the spicy thingy and I drink it it tastes like Cola it does taste like cherry that's good I say 9 I say 9 9 okay okay next 1 Let's do hog NOS okay we're going to do hog and dogs with 2 oatmeal cookies in the middle so like an ice cream stamp yeah can you not laugh at me so like an ice cream sandwich in the middle of hmm I never had these before I have like that's like how about the thick boy whole stick up oh is that clean or is that clean can I have it there we go she's not even done she's not having said it okay she's my friend she's my friend to hear that eat it up okay is already eating it okay ready 3 2 3 2 it's good oh that's not good yeah y'all have a big I was like I do I can eat this thing in like 1 bite probably mm not bad Wiggles thank you for watching passing the time
