Welcome to the the RMS family  my name is Doctor Ventura- Rincon and I am the principal here at Rivera Middle School. As you know it's beginning of the school year there's always change it one of the major changes that we have if we have to say goodbye to Mrs. Lugo she is now the assistant principal of curriculum El Rancho High School but we would love to welcome our new assistant principal Zan Mason. Hello  my name is Zan Mason I'm a new assistant principal here at Rivera Middle School I have 20 years experience educating youth in the LA County area. I have two years experience and the El Rancho Unified School District . I come  from El Rancho High School I worked in the  business Student Activities office that also included our Support Program give me tell you a little bit about my values as well I believe that all children have value and that all children deserve and have a premium education . I also value the relationships that I built in this community with parents family and the businesses that also serve and support our school. I'm very very proud should be here and you better believe that I'm willing I'm able and I'm excited to work in collaboration and in partnership with  our families and our community here thank you. A s we begin with distance learning students will join or be added to their teachers Google classroom and will be using Google classroom for their assignments and communication with teachers. It is important that students are able to log into the school email account using the  login or clever badges. Information regarding the weekly schedule for distance learning will be coming out soon please visit or RMS School website for updated information about the distribution of textbooks, chromebook, class schedule and school IDs. For this activity will be adhering to all safety protocols. Those safety protocols include all members of our staff at  RMS will wear mask the families participate for mask and finally students wearing masks. Also we will have three stations for this activity at station number one will be Distributing class schedules and school IDs. Station number 2 will be Distributing textbooks for all classes that children are scheduled in. Station number 3 through the Distributing Chromebooks to those families in need of Chromebooks for their students will also offer at the station Exchange for broken computers or exchanges for those families who are in possession of Samsung computers. The schedule dates has been set up  8th grade distribution will be on August 19th, 7th graders your data distribution will be on August 20th finally sixth-graders your distribution will be August 21st . It will begin at 8:30 a.m. each day and we'll be done in alphabetical order formation please visit our website everything you need can be found that mess.  RMS Family we want to  let you know that food distribution will continue during our online system learning from 10 am to 1pm at the three Middle Schools:  Rivera Middle School , Steam Academy at Burke and North Park Middle School information.
