Welcome to the 2022-2023 School Year!

Greetings, Grade 7/8 Students & Parents/Guardians!

Please visit this website regularly for important information and resources to better support you. Information will be added to this website as soon as possible. I strongly encourage you to +Subscribe to this Home page if you want to receive email updates.

Parents/Guardians, please ensure your child has accepted their invitation to "Join" my Google Classroom (virtual classroom a.k.a. "GC"). An invitation has been sent to you as well. Students should be doing the following: 1) Check their school email daily, 2) Check their Google Classrooms Monday-Friday during respective class periods, and 3) Complete and Turn In assignments for all classes.

All students have an opportunity to receive 30 minutes of help from their general education teachers during scheduled Office Hours. I have RSP Office Hours (small group/1:1) as well, every Friday from 3:00-3:30 p.m. if additional support is needed after that. Support is scheduled based on each student's previously identified area(s) of need, current goal(s), and weekly service minutes. I am here for you to offer ongoing learning support.

Wishing you good health above all else,

Can a student with an IEP fail?

Apr 30, 2019
National Education Association (NEA)

"The short answer is yes. An IEP does not guarantee that a child will not fail a grade. Nor is there any wording in IDEA that prohibits a school from failing a child because they have an IEP."

¿Puede un estudiante con un IEP reprobar?

30 abr. 2019
Asociación Nacional de Educación (NEA)
www.nea.org

"La respuesta corta es sí. Un IEP no garantiza que un niño no reprobará una calificación. Tampoco hay ninguna redacción en IDEA que prohíba que una escuela reprobe a un niño porque tiene un IEP".
