So, slavery is over, per Abraham Lincoln and the Emancipation Proclamation. This means newly freed slaves lived happily every after, right? Unfortunately, with racism comes hate and the communities of the south incorporate new laws designed to hold African Americans down, not only in the immediate aftermath of the end of the Civil War and slavery, but for generations of people to come. Happy 2021!
The last year was rough, on everyone, and I'm sure everyone is glad to see the calendar flip.
Usually, when we create resolutions, things are "normal" in the world, where we can go out and hang out with people, without masks and we are actually on campus, but we begin this year in the same situation we left off the last year, but hopefully closer to a solution.
With that said, I want you to come up with a list of 10 resolutions, 10 things that if implemented, will make you a better person. But, I want you to create the list as if everything is normal, as if we are on campus, as if we are around people.
For each resolution, give an example of what that would entail. When you are done, please turn it in via the classroom in a document.
