HSF is hosting a bilingual College Camp at CSULA open to middle school students and parents on Saturday, February 7th. This is a free event. To attend students or parents have to register online. See attached flyer.

Congratulations to Rivera Middle School student, Carlo Lopez on receiving the Los Angeles Lakers Student of the Month award for January 2015. The Lakers honor students every month who demonstrate an outstanding commitment to academia, athletics and community outreach. Carlo will be honored during half-time at an upcoming Lakers basketball game. Way to go Carlo!

Spirit Week is December 16th to the 19th at RMS!
- Tuesday, December 16th will be "Twin Day"! You and a friend or two can dress a alike!
- Wednesday, December 17th will be "Pajama Day"! Wear your comfy PJ's but be classy and tasteful!
- Thursday, December 18th will be "Football Day"! Wear your favorite NFL team jersey!
- Friday, December 19th will be "Red & Green Day"! Wear red and green to celebrate the holidays!

RMS Annual Christmas Boutique will be on Friday, December 5 from 5pm to 9 pm. Come by and support our school by purchasing items from all of our vendors. We will be holding raffles all through the night and our PTO will be selling delicious food!
If you are interested in selling items during our Boutique please fill out the application below and submit the application along with the payment ASAP to guarantee your spot. All of our vendor spots sell out every year so please make sure to submit your information as soon as possible.

The Book Fair will run from 10/20 to 10/31. Stop by during lunch or after school (until 3:30) and check out the books and school supplies we have for sale! If you are out of town or can't make it to our Book Fair, you can also help support our school by shopping online. All orders ship free to the school. Apparently, Mr. Heredia becomes "Mr. Diaz" for his races, in this case, The 30th Anniversary Long Beach International City Bank Marathon, on Sunday October 12, 2014. Mr. Room 22 ran a half marathon (13.1 miles) and had stated his goal was to finish it in 2 hours or less... He completed it in 1 hour, 58 mins and 29 secs. Congratulations Mr. Diaz! Great Run! Maybe next time, you can choose an alias that isn't as common!!!
