Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year.  I look forward to working with your  child  in their Spanish classes.  Although the classes are of mixed fluency, my goal is to help them learn a bit more than they knew when they walked into my classroom.   As we toggle with the current situation, we will work through the course on a digital platform, until we can resume in class instruction.

Reminder:

Students who are absent must check on the Rivera Middle School website, with peers or with Mrs.Valenzuela after school upon return, to get information on what was missed in class including homework. It is the student’s responsibility to request any missed work.  Students with an excused absence will get the same number of days to make up the work that they missed.    It is the students responsibility to complete the work and turn it in.     Students may submit late work, however they can only receive up to 50% of graded score, if turned in within one week of due date.

2nd Semester

New semester has started.  It will go by very quickly.  Make sure you are prepared everyday to learn.  You need to make sure you have all your materials and homework/assignments each day.   Just a reminder make sure you have the following items to help you: Agenda,  loose leaf paper, binder, pencils, colored pens, and highlighters.

Students that need to make up or re-take a test must come on Thursday 12/3 after school from 3-3:30 to take them if you wish to receive credit this semester.

Make-up work

Students with a "D" or "F", if  you would like to see if there is any work that you can make-up, you must see Mrs. Valenzuela by 11/24 at 3:30 pm.    Any late work must be submitted no later than by the end of the school day on 12/4.
